Wallwork Hot Isostatic Pressing is a ‘gold sponsor’ at the 14th International Conference on Hot Isostatic Pressing, which takes place from 6-10 April 2025 in Aachen, Germany. Along with other sponsors, the Wallwork HIP Centre team will be exhibiting their expertise to a European and international audience.
Demand for hot isostatic pressing has been strong in the UK since Wallwork Group established the HIP Centre in 2023. Growing European and international orders means they have accelerated investment, with a second Quintus HIP (Quintus are the platinum sponsor for the conference) due to come on stream later this year.
The EN9100 certified HIP Centre has been servicing customers across a range of industries including aerospace, offshore, oil and gas, power, tooling and medical devices. All produce metal and ceramic parts that are made from highly loaded materials. These are often made by metal additive, powder-metallurgy or cast.
Besides eliminating voids and imparting the required toughness and fatigue resistance, processing at the HIP Centre allows these components to achieve near-net-shape. This can often save customers further stages of manufacture to reduce their production lead times and costs.
Being able to provide a stand-alone HIP service or combine it with one or more of the Wallwork Group’s 117 heat treatment processes, is a compelling factor attracting overseas customers.
